Through 2x, the company I recently did some interpreting jobs for, I got invited to a private event where Duran Duran was the main act! I haven´t been to a live concert for a while, so I was excited to go.

They opened with the James Bond song and then one hit after another followed. To be honest, I didnt know all their songs, but I love “Come Undone” and “Ordinary World”!

I met some friends there by coincidence and we had a lot of fun, especially since drinks were free!

Yesterday I went to watch “Valentine´s day” with a friend. I had heard that the movie isn´t that great, a little like “Love actually” but far not as good. Maybe I had low expectations, but I liked the movie. True, it is a chick flick. But it made me feel that love is great and I came out of the theater with a warm happy feeling.

On the way home, my friend and I talked about different things and he told me that he wants to travel South America. When I mentioned that I had lived in Venezuela as an exchange student during high school, he said that´s funny because an old ex-girlfriend of his did the same thing. I didn´t think that I would know her, but there are not that many people that go to Venezuela as an exchange student, so I asked for her name.

He told me her name, and there was a Japanese with that name with me in Venezuela but I didn´t remember her last name, so we couldn´t figure out whether it is the same girl. But! Thanks to Facebook, I am in touch with her, so when I got home, I checked and sent my friend her pic.

Turns out that it was the same girl!! How funny! You never know where and how you are linked to each other…

Wie viele andere in Japan, habe auch ich vor kurzem angefangen, twitter zu benutzen. Aber so richtig nutzen kann ich es noch nicht. Soviel habe ich wohl am Ende nicht zu sagen… Wie man auch an meinem Blog merkt, der seit Anfang des Jahres still stand. Aber ich will mich bessern und wieder mehr schreiben!

Like many others in Japan, I also am now one of the people that are using twitter. But I haven´t really figure it out yet. At the end, I might not have that much to say… As you can see when you look at my blog which kinda stopped since the beginning of this year. I promise I´ll be better in the future and write more again!

今日本で流行っているツイッターを最近始めました。でもまだまだ使いこなせていません。結局そんなにつぶやく事がないのかもね。。。今年はいってからあまり書かなくなったブログを見れば分ると思いますがね（笑）。でもこれからはまた頑張って色々と書く予定です！宜しくね〜

Da 2010 das Jahr des Tigers ist, habe ich mich in Thailand mit einem Tiger fotografieren lassen. Mir war etwas mulmig dabei, aber es war ein interessantes Erlebnis! Auf das Jahr 2010!!

2010 is the year of the tiger, so I took some pictures with a tiger in Thailand. It was a little scary… but an interesting experience! Let´s enjoy 2010!!

This year, I am visiting my parents in Bangkok who rented an apartment there for one month. So it doesnt feel like Christmas at all, being in the hot and eating Thai food. Our christmas dinner was chinese because we decided not to go to the big buffet style christmas dinners at one of the big hotels.

Today we are going to the beach and do some diving. I am looking forward to that! So much better than being in the cold! Although I miss the snow a little. But I wouldnt have that in Tokyo anyway.

おわびに昨日の番組の写真ですー。今回は自分に納得いきませんでした。タイミングとかコメントが微妙でまだまだと思って反省してます！来週は今年で最後の放送になるので、もっと気合いを入れたいと思ってます！頑張ります！！

Und hier noch ein Bild von der gestrigen Sendung. Gestern war ich nicht so ganz zufrieden mit mir, es lief nicht so gut wie ich es mir wuensche. Naechste Woche muss ich das besser machen!! Es wird die letzte Sendung fuer dieses Jahr und ich hoffe sie wird ein kroenender Abschluss!

Here a picture from yesterday´s show. I am not too happy with my performance yesterday, my timing was off and I didn´t like my comments. Still a lot to improve!! Next week will be the last show for this year, so I will give my best to make it a good fun show!

写真も撮られたので、どんな風に写ってるかもちょっぴり心配。。。

Nach Fernsehen habe ich es nun auch in eine Zeitung geschafft! Am morgigen Tag wird ein Interview mit mir in der Nikkei Zeiting veroeffentlicht! Ich bin fuer die Kolumne “Haushalte aus aller Welt” gefragt worden. Das Interview dauerte etwas laenger als eine Stunde und ich bin bespannt, wie unser nettes Gespraech zusammengefasst worden ist. Auch ein Foto wurde gemacht, und ich hoffe, ich kann als Deutschlandrepraesentantin einen sympathischen Eindruck vermitteln!

In tomorrow´s edition of Nikkei newspaper, there will be an article about – me! I was interviewed for the column “Households from all over the world”. I am excited to see the result of our chat that lasted more than one hour! It was fun being the interviewed one this time.
There will be a picture, too, and I hope I can make a good impression as a representative of Germany!
